Bebig_2010 Happy February, everyone! Julia 'STACKS Guest Blogger' here to tell you about the second annual BE BIG In Your Community Contest—and YOUR chance to submit your BIG Idea to win a $25,000 community grant to make that idea come to life!

Last year 16,000 of you were inspired to BE BIG and entered your BIG Ideas for a chance to win. (Take a look at last year's winners here.) Our Grand Prize winner was 12-year-old Madelon Kerns, who entered her BIG Idea for a boundless playground for her special needs friends who aren't able to use regular playgrounds. Madelon says the boundless playgrounds ". . .allow ALL children to learn and play together."

The runner-up winners include kids like Mattie and Lydia, who work for the Mayor's Youth Council to help less fortunate kids feel like they are part of the community and get them involved in activities. And another runner-up, Skyler, is creating “Kids Care Packs” to give to kids in homeless shelters and children's hospitals. The Kids Care Packs are full of fun things for kids to do, including coloring books, activity sheets, markers, and more!

We know that you have some BIG Ideas of your own to make the world a better place, so click here to enter the 2010 BE BIG In Your Community Contest! We want to know how you and your friends are Being BIG!

Good Luck!
