Kids' Choice Awards logoThe Nominees Are in for Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards!

Some of our very favorite books were nominated for the 2014 Kids’ Choice Awards, and YOU get to choose the winner!

The Nominees for Favorite Book are . . .

Of course, here at Scholastic, we are thrilled that two of our titles were once again nominated in the Favorite Book category. The Harry Potter series and The Hunger Games trilogy (for ages 12 and up) are both in the running. While Harry has actually won in this category many times, The Hunger Games trilogy won for the first time last year and is the reigning champion. Diary of a Wimpy Kid had taken the prize for 3 years in a row, 2010-2012! I don’t think The Hobbit has even been nominated before. Will this be its year?

Winners will be announced on the Kids’ Choice Awards Show on March 29, 2014.

And PS, One Direction is nominated for Favorite Music Group, so that’s another reason to go vote! Leave a Comment to tell us which book you are voting for!

They should not put a rselaee date on the moive yet because thats what they did with the hunger games (Grade 9 and up) and the moive (PG-13) was very rushed and they had to cut out a lot of major parts in the book. Also they need to take their time on picking their actors. I have been looking at some of the actors maybes and I think they might be under a little pressure becasue I dont think they are getting the right picture. If any of the dirctors of the moive are reading this look for new actors! I am not Veroica so this is just my opinion. please dont hold that against me.

I like watching kids choice awards because it’s fun watching kids getting awards because I wish I could get a award too.

  4. S

I am voting for the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, because the series are super funny! Greg always cracks me up!

Obviously, the Hobbit. It doesn’t get as much credit as it needs. The movies are some of the most ridiculous things i’ve ever seen, but the book is still fabulous. Not to mention, It’s the only actuall BOOK, rather than SERIES that is nominated for favorite BOOK. Besides, DIary of a wimpy kid hasn’t even ended yet, the Hunger games is already fabuously popular, and Harry Potter has never dropped out of fashion. Give J. R. R. Tolkien his time in the modern literature spotlight.

I really want to be at the kids choice awards because there are so many people there that are so cool. And if I were there I would yell Talor Swift because I admire her so much. I’m 8 years old and I’m turning 9 pretty soon. So Talor Swift I’m counting on you.
