SPONSORED ENTRY: The Sorcerer's Apprentice

Stay Away From This Guy

In The Sorcerer's Apprentice (rated PG) the apprentice, Dave, encounters the evil sorcerer, Horvath. Horvath is played by Alfred Molina, who has lots of practice playing villains. You may remember, he played Doc Ock in Spiderman 2.

Check out this scene from The Sorcerer’s Apprentice with Dave and Horvath. What do you imagine they could be saying? Wacky or serious, it's up to you!

Here’s my go at it:
Horvath: I can’t believe you ordered spaghetti with extra garlic. I told you never to do that.
Dave: Listen, I’m just an apprentice. I’m just learning. Besides, it will help me keep away evil dudes like you.

The Sorcerer’s Apprentice Takes Over Times Square!

A few weeks ago in Times Square in New York City, there was a gigantic red carpet rolled out on 42nd St. set up for the world premiere of the movie The Sorcerer’s Apprentice (rated PG). Mickey Mouse walked the red carpet with Nicholas Cage, and Mayor Bloomberg waved a wand and proclaimed Tuesday (July 6th) "Sorcerer’s Apprentice Day" In New York City. Pretty cool, huh?

Well, in the spirit of NYC, check out this scene from The Sorcerer's Apprentice movie with Nicholas Cage and Jay Baruchel. They play Balthazar, and his apprentice Dave. They are in Chinatown (in NYC) trying to find a Chinese sorcerer and capture a magic spirit doll. What do you imagine they are thinking? Leave your caption in the Comments!

Create a Caption: Summer Bear

Createacaption Ever make your stuffed animals do wacky things? I vividly remember as a toddler, I had this giant plastic baby doll, aptly named "Big Baby." She was as tall as me, I guess about 3 feet at the time. I used to freak my mom out and make Big Baby sit on my potty seat, or drag her around and dress her in my clothes. Well, check out this stuffed bear from my house. Looks like he's all decked out for summer. What do you imagine he's thinking?

Lisa Yee's Peep

Create a Caption on Ink Splot 26 A few weeks ago, Lisa Yee was here to tell us about her favorite food to snack on while writing. She also mentioned her muse, Peep, who goes with Lisa everywhere. Today we get a better look at Peep in this photo, but what could he possibly be doing in that big pile of apples? If Peeps could talk, I bet he would have some wild stories to tell! What do you think he is saying?

Create a Caption: Puppies

Create a Caption: Puppies in a Bowl on Ink Splot 26 Oh, these puppies are so cute!! I don't know how they got inside that bowl or how they're going to get out, but I love imagining what they are saying to each other while they're all stuck in there.

I think the puppy on the left is saying "Don't be rude! Cover your mouth when you yawn!"

Create-a-Caption: Pillar Face

Create a Caption on Ink Splot 26 Lady Gaga may have a Poker Face, but today's writing prompt has a Pillar Face. When I was in Chicago last year, I ran into this guy on one of the supports for the El (which are the elevated trains in the city). Pillar Face was so awesome I just had to take a picture.

And now, I want you to tell me what you think he's saying.

Create-a-Caption: Dude! Who are you?

Create a caption: Dude! Who are you? Where do I even BEGIN with this picture? As you can see by the date on the lower right hand side, it's fortunately Halloween and not any other day; otherwise this would just be weird! So in taking this awesome picture, I pose the following challenges below.

First challenge: Guess the costumes!
I'm thinking maybe a really laid back version of Jesus with some sort of Samurai soldier holding a Star Wars light saber?

Second challenge: Fill in the bubbles!
Guy in bathrobe: “Right on little soldier dude.”
Boy in warrior costume: “This is Luke Skywalker's sword and I’m not afraid to use it.”

Create-a-Caption: Serenity Now!

CreateacaptionThis is a sight I certainly never thought I would see. My brother. . . meditating!

So you're probably wondering why this strikes me as odd; everyone takes time to be one with themselves every once in a while right? Well, if you knew my brother, you'd know that he is. . . umm, how I do I put it nicely. . . a total spaz. He's constantly on the go. Whether he's traveling around another country or going to some crazy festival, my brother is not the type who meditates. That's why this image makes the perfect “Create-a-Caption.”

Create-a-Caption: Winston on the Web

Createacaption When Nancy took a break from working, her stuffed animal friend, Monkey, took over for her. I wish I had luck like that. But, no. When I wanted a break, I left The STACKS in the capable hands of my parents' new puppy, Winston. I thought he had you guys covered. But then I came home to find him goofing off and playing games! I guess you can't count on a puppy to do a person's job!

What do you think Winston was thinking when I caught him slacking off? Leave a comment and let me know!

Edited to Add: Since Readingstar5 asked "What kind of dog is it?" I guess I should mention that Winston is an English Bulldog.

Create a Caption: It’s A Dog Eat Dog World

Createacaption There once was a cute little pup named Larry
But due to his size wasn't all that hairy

And when he was found in a mug
This little non-pug

Was certainly far from anything scary

I did the rhyme and now you gotta take the time...and tell me what this little pup is thinking!
