Create a Caption: Guinness World Record
Drum roll please! These guys are playing the world’s largest drum set! I wonder what song they are playing. If you could create a caption for the picture what do you think these drummers would be saying?

I get so irritated when people ask me…
I’m sure you’ve all had it happen to you. Someone asks you an irritating question and you say in your head, “Did she really just ask me that?!” Maybe the first time someone asks you a question, it’s not that bad. The second time they ask you, it gets a little annoying. But by the third time, you are full-blown, all-out irritated! Or maybe it’s a question that just shows how misunderstood you are. My worst example of this is, “You know it’s just a book, right?” Ooh, I hate that question!
Which leads me to today’s Writing Prompt . . .
What are the most irritating questions people ask you?
And we promise not to ever ask you any of those questions! Let us know in the Comments below!

Create a Caption for these Stylish Penguins
I love penguins just in their regular tuxedos (a.k.a. their birthday suits!), but these dressed up penguins look ready for a fancy South Pole party! Don’t they look like they could dance the night away?

Book character truth or dare game from MagentaDolphin21!
Hi! This is a truth or dare game with fictional characters. I just thought this might be fun to do. You can dare ANYONE from any book, movie, TV show, etc. to do ANYTHING you want!!!! Literally, ANYTHING. The bizarre ones are actually the most fun! Please include what book, movie, TV show, etc. the character is from, in case I have to look them up. Oh, before I forget – you can also dare celebrities! Also, you can dare characters/celebrities who died. Sound weird? Well, this is a comedy thing, so we can abandon logic! Who wants to try one?
Write your character truth or dare question in the Comments.

Write Your Own “I Have a Dream” Poem
In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, we have a cool writing prompt challenge. Below are 25 words from Martin Luther King, Jr.’s famous “I Have a Dream” speech delivered on August 28, 1963 at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. The speech is very inspiring and describes Dr. King’s dream of a world without racism and prejudice.
Your task is to take these 25 words and generate your own “I Have a Dream” poem. You can add articles (little words like “a”, and “the”), verbs, or anything that will help it flow, but try to include as many of these 25 words as you can in your poem. Any style of poem works – rhyming, non-rhyming, couplet, haiku, free-form, or even random. It’s up to you!
Leave your poem in the Comments. We can’t wait to be inspired . . . by you.

Next Stop: London’s Book Benches!
A cool thing happened in London last summer. An organization called the National Literacy Trust hired artists to create book-based sculptures called BookBenches. 50 books from Peter Pan to A Bear Called Paddington were painted onto benches all across London. They called it the “Books About Town.”
The BookBench sculptures were on display on the streets of London this summer, and then sold at a public auction. They raised over £250,000. (That’s about $390,000 in U.S. dollars.) All of that money will go to the National Literacy Trust, a charity dedicated to raising the literacy levels of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.
As you can see, these BookBenches are pretty amazing – they look like they belong in an art museum!
If you could see one of your favorite books depicted on a bench in your town, what book would it be? Leave your ideas in the Comments below!

Winter break is a perfect time to ponder these awesome questions from CycloneVampire7.
What would you do if . . .
- You were sitting in the rain when all of a sudden, a man appeared before you out of thin air?
- You met Justin Bieber? (You can hate or love; I don’t care.)
- You discovered that Elsa was your cousin and you had ice powers?
- Everyone around you suddenly burst into song?
- Books were BANNED?!
- You were trapped in a dream and couldn’t wake up unless you finished it?
- You could grow money trees? $
- You could fly?
- You were trapped in a tiny box about your size with no way out?
- Your brother gave you a Mohawk haircut while you were sleeping, and tomorrow was the first day of school?
Hope you enjoy!

What Are Your New Year’s Resolutions?
The beginning of a new year is a great time to start brand new, to think of some goals and resolutions for how to be a better person. No one is perfect, and this is a great time to think about ways that you can improve in the coming year.
Here are some ideas for New Year’s resolutions:
- Set a better schedule for myself.
- Spend more time with my family.
- Be a better friend and a better listener.
- Change my closet and develop a better style.
- Get good grades.
- Travel to a new country.
- Do more arts and crafts activities and more D.I.Y. fashion activities.
- Go to the gym more often, and live a healthier lifestyle. (No more soda or candy!)
- Read interesting books. (Take a look at our Reading Resolutions for ideas.)
- Learn how to cook.
Your New Year’s resolutions and goals can be about anything, from saving more money so you can buy a really cool toy that you like, to making more friends, or to spending more time with your sibling. Start jotting down some goals. After you finish, keep the paper somewhere that you can see it constantly, like on your refrigerator or on a wall in your room. Give yourself credit for all your success, and check off the things on your list that you have completed as the time passes.
Leave a Comment with your New Year’s resolutions. Happy New Year!
