Monstober Would You Rather

The Disney Channel gets spooky this month with a ton of new Halloween themed shows, movies, and fan favorites. We thought we’d unleash this monstrous news on you with some Would You Rather “Monstober” style.

Would You Rather …

1. Turn into a werewolf in school and go crazy OR have one of your toys turn into a doll-zombie and follow you everywhere?

Best Friends Whenever tackles this very difficult werewolf scenario in “Night of the Were-Diesel.” Syd accidentally gets wolf serum on herself and turns into a werewolf! Now Shelby has to stop her before she destroys the school’s Halloween carnival. (Monday October 17th, repeats all month)

2. Be at a camp where the campers keep mysteriously disappearing OR be chased by a weird chef with a meat cleaver?

Bunk’d “Camp Kiki-Slasher” has the campers disappearing one by one. And the promo features the weird chef with the meat cleaver. Yikes! (Friday October 7th, repeats all month)

3. Do rhythmic gymnastics OR ice hockey?

Check out the new original movie The Swap featuring a gymnast and an ice hockey star. When they text-argue about whose life and sport is easier, a weird glitch makes them switch bodies! With a gymnastic championship and hockey team tryouts on the line, they have to figure out how to get back in their own bodies before the switch becomes permanent. (Oct. 7th, on Demand)

4. Monsters Inc. OR Monsters U?

Both are awesome, but tune in to Monsters U on Oct. 9th!

5. Be a Ghostbuster and catch ghosts OR a Ghost Patrol and catch animal-spirit ghosts?

Catch the one-hour animated special Ghost Patrol where Gabi, Spence, and Spooky the Dog are their town’s supernatural pest control. They’ve never seen a real ghost, but that might all change when they are called to investigate the old Geist Manor… (Oct. 9th)

6. Run a mysterious lodge in the country OR a trendy hotel in the city?

The new series from Disney Channel UK/England called The Lodge looks pretty awesome. After her mother dies, a girl returns to the lodge her mother was raised in years ago and takes part in running it. But she finds everything is not as it seems to be. Looks musical, tech-y, trendy, and FUN! (Oct.17th)

7. Be the child of a Disney hero OR Disney villain?

Fan favorite movie Descendants features the children of Disney movie princesses and villains at boarding school. Also look for the animated shorts called Descendants; Wicked World. There is a new one “Slumber Party.” (Oct. 21st)

8. Have your soul trapped in a haunted cabinet OR get turned into a monster?

Check out R.L. Stine’s movie Monsterville: Cabinet of Souls where a travelling Hall of Horrors, run by the crazy Dr. Hysteria, is turning teenagers into monsters and trapping their souls in a cabinet backstage. (Oct. 29th)

Other highlights from Monstober include movies Halloweentown, My Babysitter’s a Vampire, Twitches, Toy Story 3. Plus Halloween episodes of Liv and Maddie, and Bizaardvark. Also look for Halloween makeup tutorials, DIY projects, and Disney star makeovers “Monstrosity Makeovers.”

Star Wars Rebels Would You Rather

STAR WARS REBELSStar Wars Rebels on Disney XD takes place 14 years after the movie Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (where Anakin becomes Darth Vader) and 5 years before Episode IV: A New Hope (where we meet Luke). So basically, in between the old movies and the new movies.

It introduces a whole new cast of characters, plus we get to see some old favorites. The main character is Ezra, a 14-year old orphan/con-artist/pickpocket with surprising abilities to use the Force. He becomes an unlikely member of the Ghost ship crew where he is trained by Jedi Kanan, and helps in missions against the Empire. Along the way we get to see Yoda, Darth Vader, Darth Maul, C3-PO, Ashoka, and more of our old faves in action.

Use the Force for good rather than evil to complete our Star Wars Rebels Would You Rather.

Would you rather:

1. Go undercover as an Imperial cadet (and pretend to be evil) OR train as Darth Vader’s apprentice (and truly be evil)?

2. Blaster OR lightsaber?

3. Lose your droid OR your ship to Lando Calrissian?

4. Make your own lightsaber (like Ezra’s out of Kyber crystal) OR inherit Yoda’s?

5. C1-10P OR R2-D2?

6. Battle Ashoka Tano OR the Seventh Sister?

7. Mind Control skills OR lightsaber skills?

8. Always be a bad guy OR be a once-good-guy-turned-into-a-bad-guy? (like The Grand Inquisitor)

9. In Season 3 see a young Han Solo and Chewy on a mission OR see Ezra join the Dark Side?

Season 3 starts September 24th, so you won’t have to wait long to get your fix, but in the meantime, let us know your answers in he Comments below. And may The Force be with you.

Star Wars Kid Review

Posted by at 1:47 am in Kid Power, Movies & TV | Permalink

Star Wars (rated PG and PG-13): it’s the best movie series in the galaxy. The Star Wars story line is amazing. It is jam-packed with action and it has been one of my favorite movie series ever since Darth Vader said, “Luke . . . ”

One of my favorites out of the whole series is Episode VI: Return of the Jedi (rated PG). It has a lot of interesting characters since it is based a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. There are characters like Luke and Leia who are human, but there are characters like Chewbacca and the Ewoks who make the movie a lot more interesting than just humans fighting with lightsabers and blasters.

These characters have very interesting personalities and they can be very funny. Chewbacca is a Wookie, basically half human, half Bigfoot. I like to think of Ewoks as fluffy teddy bears that can be vicious if you try to take over their territory. It has a lot of action. From lightsaber fights to lightspeed X-Wing battles, Star Wars will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat. If you haven’t seen the movie, I tell you, “This is the movie you are looking for.”

Another amazing thing about Star Wars is the music. John Williams wrote the best music ever for these movies. The music makes you feel like you are in an X-Wing or fighting off Stormtroopers.

I think that Star Wars is one of the best movie series ever created. I would recommend these movies to anyone. If you haven’t seen them, you definitely HAVE to see these movies.
