Things get pretty high-flyin’ in The Amazing Spider-Man 2™ (rated PG-13).

Circus-worthy stunts fill The Amazing Spider-Man 2™. In fact, well over 200 stunt performers punched the clock during shooting, says the movie’s stunt coordinator James Armstrong.

“The actors rehearse in a huge empty parking lot and we put marks down on the ground to replicate where curbs, or buildings or different things are,” explains Armstrong, whose father was also a stunt coordinator on the film. “Then, they have to try and take that and remember it for the actual shoot.”

Armstrong worked closely with all of the stars in the movie, and says that it’s the goal to have the actors do their own stunts whenever feasible. The trick is keeping someone like The Amazing Spider-Man 2™ star Andrew Garfield in check, who plays Spider-Man and was eager to get his hands dirty on the set as often as possible. “Andrew does a lot of stunts and sometimes we actually have to rein him in more than he’d like just to keep him safe,” says Armstrong. Yikes! Take it easy there, Spidey – you’ve got a whole city to protect!

Sparks fly in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 TM (rated PG-13).

We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important conflict has been within himself:  the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2™, Peter finds that his greatest battle is about to begin.

It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: Only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan) returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.

“I definitely feel more confident this time around,” says Garfield. “I enjoy being Spider-Man, which is for sure what Peter feels as well.”

In the highly charged trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2™ Garfield soars overcrowded Manhattan avenues, while high-speed chases below leave taxicabs overturned like featherweight tumbleweeds. We glimpse a Times Square tussle, too, as Spidey faces off with Electro in New York City’s bustling tourist attraction. Flashing billboards and oversize digital ads have nothing on the spectacle at ground level—it’s Spider-Man versus an OsCorp electrical engineer gone bad. What could be more electrifying?

THE LEGO MOVIEThis post is sponsored by The LEGO Movie.

The LEGO Movie (rated PG), hits theaters on February 7, 2014, and we have an exclusive interview with the Emmet, the main character from the film.

Welcome, Emmet. Thanks for answering our questions!
Q: What is the best part about people thinking you are a “Special?”
Emmet: First off, how cool is it that you’re asking ME a question?! Before, I don’t think anyone ever even thought about me, let alone wanted to ask me a question. Second off, what was the question? I kind of forgot after being so excited that I get to answer a question.

Q: What is the worst part?
Emmet: The worst part. Geesh. The worst part? Um . . . What. Is. The. Worst. Part. Let’s pretend I didn’t hear the question. Can we do that?

Q: What does it feel like to save the world from the evil Lord Business?
Emmet: That’s easy: Awesome. Totally awesome! I still can’t believe I did that.

Q: Did you ever have any doubts about being able to save the world?
Emmet: Me? No. Never . . . Maybe a few. Yes . . .Lots!

Q: What was it like working with Wyldstyle and all the Master Builders?
Emmet: Hard at first. Then harder after that. Then it got a tad bit easier. But then it got a whole lot harder. Maybe even hardest at the end. But now, we just look back and laugh.

Q: Metalbeard looks INSANELY awesome! What was it like to work with him?
Emmet: Whenever you get a chance to work with someone with a shark on his arm, you TAKE it!

Q: Did you ever feel out of your depth?
Emmet: I still don’t know what it feels like to be IN my depth. Oh no. Does that make me shallow?

Q: What do you like to do in your free time?|
Emmet: The usual stuff: Watch TV. Grab a coffee. Save the world.

Q: What is your favorite color?
Emmet: Hmm . . . Green . . . no . . . Yellow . . . no wait . . . it’s back to green again. Definitely green. Wait, can I choose chartreuse?

Q: What is your favorite food?
Emmet: Tacos.

Q: Has your life changed now that you are the Master Builder AND the star of your own movie? Do people recognize you on the street?
Emmet: Totally. People recognize me all the time now. They say, “Hey, watch out for that car!” Or “Hey, is that for here or to go?” So, I guess my life has changed a lot now that I’m a Master Builder.
That and I’ve got the most amazing friends in the whole entire world. Life’s pretty good.

Q: How did you like making the movie?
Emmet: Are you kidding me? It was the best!!! On a scale from one to ten, I’d give it a solid thirteen and a half.

Q: Would you like to make another movie?
Emmet: Um, yeah! But next time, maybe Batman can be a little nicer to me. That guy can be really dark sometimes.

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2, the new super-size sequel from Sony Pictures Animation, will be hitting the big screen on September 27, 2013. This animated comedy, which picks up where the original hit movie left off, sounds like a lot of fun, and introduces us to wild food-animal hybrids called Foodimals. Read on for more about the movie!

In Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2, the inventor genius of Flint Lockwood is finally being recognized as he’s invited by his idol Chester V to join the Live Corp. Company, where the best and brightest inventors in the world create technologies for the betterment of mankind. Chester’s right-hand-gal and one of his greatest inventions is Barb (a highly evolved orangutan with a human brain, who is also devious, manipulative, and likes to wear lipstick). It’s always been Flint’s dream to be recognized as an inventor, but everything changes when he discovers that his most infamous machine (which turned water into food in the original movie) is still operating, and is now creating food-animal hybrids, “FOODIMALS!”

cloudy2_blog_image2_250x250With the fate of humanity in his hands, Chester sends Flint and his friends on a dangerously delicious mission to save the world again! Enter a WILD new world of crazy creations: hungry tacodiles, shrimpanzees, apple piethons, double bacon cheespiders, watermeolphants, fruit cockatiels, bananostriches, cucumbirdies, flamangos, just to name a few.

If you could have a food-animal hybrid as a pet, what would it be named, and what special features would it have? Leave your answers in the Comments.
