November Pop-Corn

BLOG_POP-CORNTV, Movies, and Music you won't want to miss this November!

You’ve heard of Thanksgiving, but how about Pranksgiving? That's what Disney XD is calling the two new hidden-camera shows it will premiere in November: Just Kidding and Code 9. Zach Fox will play tricks on unsuspecting folks in six episodes of Just Kidding, and kids pull fast ones on their parents in Code 9, both set to air November 19-24.

If you love dogs, there's a lot to bark about on Hallmark Channel. In honor of the Hero Dog Awards special airing Nov. 8, there's a lot of great pooch programming on the days before, starting with 101 Dalmatians, Puppy Love, and You Lucky Dog on November 6, and Hatchi: A Dog's Tale on November 7. Then after the awards, watch A Dog Named Christmas.

What? You say you’re a cat person? Don’t worry, feline fans get equal time. PBS Kids will premiere the Christmas special The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About Christmas on November 21, with repeats throughout Thanksgiving weekend and in December.

Speaking of animated programs, CBS has a few of them, from the favorites Frosty Returns and Hoops & Yoyo Ruin Christmas to the brand-new It's a SpongeBob Christmas! all airing on November 23. There are cool new 'toons on the big screen too. Wreck-it Ralph, about a video game villain who wants to be a good guy, has just hit theaters, and Rise of the Guardians, in which characters like Santa Claus, Jack Frost, and the Easter Bunny team up to fight evil, comes out November 23.

American Idol winner Phillip Phillips will release his debut album The World From the Side of The Moon on November 19. R5, featuring Ross Lynch from Austin & Ally and Riker Lynch from Glee, kicks off a holiday concert tour November 18 in Madison, Wisconsin, giving fans a sneak preview of the music that the band is recording for an early 2013 EP and full-length album to follow.

1d_takemehome_130Set your DVRs! One Direction, whose new album Take Me Home comes out November 13, will perform on The Today Show on the 13th and 14th. (That's STACKS Staffer, Sonja screaming in the background.) Taylor Swift is the subject of VH1 Storytellers on November 11. Justin Bieber, Emma Stone, and Tyra Banks are among the stars joining Nick Cannon to celebrate exceptional teens who give back to their communities and actively support charitable causes at the TeenNick HALO Awards, which premieres on Nickelodeon November 19.

Finally, November 21 is World Hello Day. Say hello to everyone you meet!
