2012 Halloween TV Specials
Trick or treat! Smell my feet! Tell me what is on TV!! Are you ready for a spooktacular Halloween? What better way to get your BOO on than some of your favorite Halloween TV specials? Whether you’re in the mood for a Disney demon, Nickelodeon nightmare, a haunted Hub, or old school Halloween fare, there's something for everyone! Check out this list of Halloween TV shows.
- DISNEY
Disney kicks off “Monstober” starting October 5. A.N.T Farm has Chyna returning to mutA.N.T school where she is a monster and falls in love with a human boy. Jessie relives an old doorman’s story of a nanny who did “something terrible” to the kids in her care on Halloween. Gravity Falls gets even more complicated when a monster that Dipper accidentally insulted makes Dipper & company fulfill his candy quota by night's end or else he will eat them. Fish Hooks episodes involve a creepy old doll, and a crush on a vampire (hmm…always a good plot!). On Sunday October 7, there’s Good Luck Charlie where the Duncan family celebrates Halloween, and Austin & Ally where Austin is invited to perform at the Starr Records Halloween party. Then there’s the Halloween Disney movie Girl vs. Monster (starring Olivia Holt from Kickin' It) premiering on October 12. Skylar, a teen singer, unknowingly unleashes a monster on Halloween. She and her friends have to conquer the monster. But no worries! Skylar happens to come from a long line of monster hunters! - NICKELODEON
Nick is planning a Halloween Shocktober. On October 20, iCarly premieres “iScream for Halloween,” and The Naked Brothers Band episode is called “Alien Clones.” - THE HUB
Starting on October 6, the Hub transforms into a Haunted Hub with the scariest episodes from the first two seasons of R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour. A brand new episode of The Haunting Hour airs on October 13 and is called “Grampires” about a grandfather with a secret. (Can ya guess what it is??) Then on October 22, there will be a 4-hour Goosebumps marathon to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Goosebumps. There’s also good old-fashioned fun like Alvin and the Chipmunks Meet Wolfman (October 8), and the movies Gremlins (October 12), and The Haunted Pumpkin of Sleepy Hollow (October 19). - ABC FAMILY
In the mood for more tricks and treats? Check out ABC Family with 13 Nights of Halloween starting Friday October 19 with some great movies including: The Mummy, Addams Family Values, Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, Scooby Doo, The Haunted Mansion, Monsters Inc., The Sorcerer's Apprentice, and more! - It hasn't been listed yet, but one of my all-time favorites, It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, usually airs right before Halloween. Can you say "classic?"
Whew! And that’s a big bag ‘o treats -- because you’ll need some TV to go with all that junk food! Let us know what your faves are and what you’ll be watching. Happy Haunting!!
