Whatever After: Fairest of All by Sarah Mlynowski

Beauty and the Beast, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Rapunzel. Spin-offs of classic fairy tales have always been a popular topic for modern authors. Sarah Mlynowski's Whatever After: Fairest of All takes on the classic tale of Snow White, and it is certainly a different story from the Disney version.

For once, Snow White is not the main character. Instead, the story revolves around the practical 10-year-old Abby and her adventurous 7-year-old brother Jonah. A magic mirror in their basement sucks the siblings into the forest of Snow White's world just in time to stop the evil Queen Evelyn from poisoning Snow with a red apple.

The dwarves have already saved Snow from the first two close calls. Falling twice for the Queen’s disguises, Snow is first laced up with ribbons so tightly she faints; then the Queen brushes Snow White's hair with a poisoned comb. But since Snow didn’t eat the poisoned apple, she is having trouble meeting her prince. That's when Abby and Jonah realize they ruined the course of the fairy tale. So they attempt to make things right. Turns out, it's not as easy as they hoped it would be.

Funny, sweet, and original, Whatever After: Fairest of All by Sarah Mlynowski is an enjoyable read for fairy tale lovers.

Hey I only read one chapter from the reading prizes here and it's so good so Sarah Mlynowski is the best writer that ever lived

This game is so cool I did not know that you could play games and all of this fun stuff on here I just thought it would have summer reading suff the is bornning but I see that it is not I get to blog all cool things and my mom and dad do not care and also my sister she wants to get on here so bad but she doesn't know that I amm doing thing blog!!!!!!!!
