Writing Prompt: Haiku

This week's Write On Writing Prompt is brought to us by Yuna, who had SO many great ideas, we couldn't choose just one. So take your pick from Yuna's "write-eous" ideas:

1. Write a haiku about what you think will happen today.
2. Who's your favorite author and why?

3. What's your favorite book and why?

4. Write an essay about how you would describe yourself.
5. Write about a dream or nightmare you had.


I'm going for the haiku (a Japanese-inspired, short  3-line poem with a 5-7-5 syllable pattern) Mine is not the perfect amount of syllables, but you get the idea.

Early, I awaken,
Eat my Cheerios quickly,
Wish for gummy bears instead.

I like pumpkin pie
it tastes good with cinnamon

I know it's not the best, but mashed potatoes were even worse (I had Thanksgiving food on the brain). :D

ok so im going to write about a weird dream i had

so i was at a fun park and there was a war between the boys and the girls and i was a general and so i had all the ranks and the army organized and we were awaiting the enemy arrival so, i went like upstairs and there was a vending machine for dates (the fruit) and Gatorade, granola bars too. the machines weren't ordinary but like those ones at m&m world where u pull a lever and the candy tumbles out. OK so i got a granola bar and when i went to take my post in the front of the army, i saw the guys arriving on carousels and like the ponies. the leader was wearing an aeropostal t shirt and skinny jeans with side swept hair like JB and had a candy crown on his head and a scepter made of candies! he also had a very colorful cape.

then i woke up...i know weird.....

I did my homework o time.
my favorite author is anne mazer and Ilove how abby dose fun things. My favorite book is THE BEST IS TO COME YET and my favorite part is when Abby gose shopping with Hannah.I love my friends and I love shopping alot with my mom and sister alot.
