Katie LeClerc Switched at Birth

Katie LeClerc stars in the new Monday night ABC Family show, Switched At Birth. In the show she plays a deaf teenager coping with life in the hearing world. What you may not know is that Katie herself is also hard of hearing. She has Meniere's disease, an inner-ear disorder that can cause severe hearing loss over time. It is possible that her hearing may get worse as she gets older.

The Hunger Games Cast Announcement

Wow! How time flies! It feels like just yesterday I was reading My Perfect Hunger Games Movie Cast post by Jack L. and was thinking how perfect Ellen Page would be as Katniss in The Hunger Games film. Man, how far off I was.

Three years have gone by since the release of The Hunger Games book (for ages 12 and up) by Suzanne Collins, and Lionsgate is now officially casting the film! Here's an overview of the cast so far.

Create a Hogwarts Character

 Skyelark Moon from the Harry Potter Message Board has this awesome assignment for Harry Potter fans.

If you were able to go to Hogwarts, what house would you be in? What classes would you take? Who would your friends be? Create your perfect Hogwarts character here!

This is what my character would be:

• Name: Skyelark Moon (Girl) 
• Year: 3rd year
• House: Ravenclaw
• Appearance: She has long, straight blue-black hair and black eyes with purple in them. Tanned skin, and has a dreamy look on her face.
• Personality: Skyelark is really nice and caring. She always wants other people to have a better time and she accepts everything as it is. Also, she is a problem solver and really smart!
• Favorite classes: Transfiguration, DADA, Quidditch
• Patronus: Phoenix
• Wand: 12 inches, cherry wood with unicorn hair core.
• Quiddich position (if your character plays quiddich): Skyelark would play as the keeper on the Ravenclaw Quidditch Team.
