Taylor Spreitler
Taylor Spreitler, the 18-year-old star of the ABC Family show Melissa & Joey, was kind enough to answer some of our questions. Read on to find out about her favorite TV show, her Southern accent, and her advice for a happy life.
Q: Describe Melissa & Joey.
Taylor: A family scandal ends up with my mom in jail and my dad on the run. My younger brother Ryder and I have to move in with Aunt Mel and she hires a manny to help. I like both comedy and drama but after being on a soap opera for 2 years and all the dark material that goes with it, comedy was a welcome change!
Q: Are you similar to Lennox?
Taylor: I am so like Lennox, it's freaky! I would definitely be her friend in real life. I love how she is so passionate about the causes she supports.
Q: What is your all-time favorite sitcom?
Taylor: My all-time favorite sitcom is Full House. My sister Sam had every episode on tape and we watched it every day.
Q: What is the funniest thing that has happened on the set?
Taylor: We take pictures on an iPad, make them look as goofy as possible, and hold them in front of our face while rehearsing! It's so hard not to just crack up!
Q: You used to work on a soap opera. What was that like?
Taylor: Soap days usually start very early! Hair and makeup is the first stop, followed by camera blocking and wardrobe. There is a quick run through of the scene, and then you tape. There is no rehearsal so you have to know your lines and get it right the first time! Some days we were shooting 2 shows a day and there would be 20-40 pages of dialogue to memorize. Luckily I'm pretty good at memorization!
Q: What was your favorite commercial that you did as a child?
Taylor: The Chuck E. Cheese commercial was awesome! It was filmed at a real Chuck E. Cheese and we got to play games and eat pizza all day. I didn't want pizza for about a week after.
Q: What was the hardest word for you to pronounce when you were little?
Taylor: I had such a strong Southern accent that everything I said sounded funny! It took many hours of speech training in New York to get rid of it, but it still comes out sometimes.
Q: What is one thing you wish everyone would do to make the world a better place?
Taylor: Adopt a pet!
Q: What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
Taylor: Most embarrassing probably was tripping over my own feet while walking into an audition.
Q: What food could you never live without?
Taylor: Mac-n-Cheese
Q: A perfect day would include?
Taylor: Sleeping late and a massage.
Q: Personal motto or favorite quote?
Taylor: "Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life." –Confucius

My two friends are reading dark life and they say that it is amazing but i have a hard time with reading so im not but it sounds really good

I guess she seems very nice, but I am not sure about any stars. They sometimes turn there lives upside down, smoking, drinking, and doing other bad things. And this is typing you cant see her face to see if it is saying its true. From Katie

i havent whatched that yet i dont even know what channnel its on cuz i have dereced tv so idk about it she does seem nice i would like to watch it sometimes
