If you go hog wild over Hogwarts, or freak out over the Cirque du Freak series, or thank the gods for The Lightning Thief, then you're probably psyched about the new movie The Sorcerer's Apprentice hitting theaters July 14th.
In this movie, Balthazar (played by Nicholas Cage) is a master sorcerer in modern day New York City. He's trying to defend the city from his nemesis Maxim (played by Alfred Molina whom you may remember as Doc Ock in Spiderman 2!) but he can't do it alone. So he recruits a boy named Dave, a self-proclaimed physics nerd who has no interest in being a hero. Mix in some magic, lots of action, great CGI effects, and of course the ancient evil forces of darkness, and what do you get? The Sorcerer's Apprentice.
Plus, the movie was created by the same people who did National Treasure (rated PG), including the uber-famous Jerry Bruckheimer who did the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy (rated PG-13) and Armageddon (rated PG-13). Ok, enough name dropping.

Hm... I like the camera angle. It's just so that his eyes aren't looking directly at you, but still focusing on a watch of some kind.
