The 39 Clues Alternate Title Writing Prompt
If you have been reading the books, playing the game, and collecting the clues, then you probably know a lot more clues than I do. I know some of you have gathered tons of clues already because there is huge discussion about the other clues on The 39 Clues Message Boards. I have only read the books (1-5 so far) so I only know the first five clues.
SPOILER ALERT: If you haven't yet gotten the first five clues, then don't read any more of this blog post! I'm about to give them away!
OK, so everyone who is still here with me knows the first five clues. Yay you! So for today's writing prompt, I thought it would be fun to rewrite the titles of The 39 Clues books to include the clue found in that book.
For example. . .
Book 1 New Title: The Iron Will of the Cahills
Book 2 New Title:The Tungsten Tune
Book 3 New Title:The Golden Alliance
Book 4 New Title:The Myrrh-Maid of Egypt
Book 5 New Title:The Amber Snake
It's actually not as easy as it looks! I'm sure your titles will be much better than mine. :) Leave your ideas for alternate titles in the comments. I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Why those titles? Half of the fun is finding what the clue is at the end of the book, not seeing it spelled out on the cover. Thats like reading the back page of a book to know how it ends.
Also while reading the books, you get clues to what the clues are and it is fun trying to figure out what it is before it is revealed.

I agree with k. I love finding out what the clue is in the book. If it was in the title, people would just go to the bookstore and say, "Okay, book 1 is iron, book 2 is tungsten, book 3 is gold...now I don't have to buy them!"

Hi Kelsey,
I have WAY too many favorite books to say just one. Harry Potter, Inkheart, Theodosia and the Serpents of Chaos, The Golden Compass. Mostly fantasy I guess, but I read a LOT of all kinds of books!! That's why working at the STACKS is so fun!
