Book-to-Movie Chat Recap

Posted by at 7:42 am in Book to Big Screen, Live Chats | Permalink

Last Saturday, we hosted a lively chat about book-to-movie adaptations. Boy, STACKS users are way passionate about books and movies! We covered a lot in just one hour! (Okay, we ran a teensy bit longer than scheduled.)

Movies/Books Mentioned During the Chat:

  • Call of the Wild
  • Chronicles of Narnia
  • City of Ember
  • Coraline
  • Ella Enchanted
  • The Golden Compass
  • Harry Potter (of course)
  • Holes
  • Howl’s Moving Castle
  • The Hunger Games
  • Inkheart
  • A Little Princess
  • Lord of the Rings
  • Never Ending Story
  • Percy Jackson and the Olympians
  • The Secret Garden
  • The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants
  • Thief Lord
  • Twilight
  • The Wizard of Oz

Kids also thought these books should be made into movies. (Take note, Hollywood!) Which book or series do you think should be made into a movie first?

why does everyone always use apprevations, improper grammar, and incorrect spelling on these chat rooms, don’t get me wrong, i do sometimes, but i am a geek/nerd, and a real stickler on grammer, sorry if you think i am rude/mean
p.s. I love the name of this book is secret, have any of you read the second one, though.
    p.p.s.
i also love twilight, though i don’t get why people buy the merchandise, when they haven’t even read the books, READ THE BOOKS BEFORE YOU BUY THE MERCHANDISE, I have read the last book nine times.
    p.p.p.s
sorry for writing some much, i am practicing for the book i am writing, The Make-Shift Detective.
    peace, love, and just bee
