Fall in Love with Sonny with a Chance

Tomorrow, a new show, Sonny with a Chance, premieres on the Disney Channel. The show stars Demi Lovato as Sonny, who moves from Wisconsin to Hollywood when she gets invited to be on her favorite sketch comedy show called So Random. The real show (Sonny with Chance) follows Sonny's hijinks with her cast-mates Tawni (played by Tiffany Thornton), Nico (played by Brandon Mychal Smith), Grady (played by Doug Brochu), and Zora (played by Allisyn Ashley Arm) — including  exploits from the unending rivalry between So Random and the show filmed on the next lot, Mackenzie Falls, with the dreamy Chad Dylan Cooper (played by Sterling Knight). From what I've seen on the Disney site, I think you're going to love the show.

And speaking of love, our friend Marie, who interviews celebs for Scholastic's classroom magazines like Scope and Action (she totally has the best job ever!), got the Valentine's Day scoop from some of the cast. Check it out:

Q: Valentine's Day is coming up — do you have any funny or memorable Valentine's Day stories?
Sterling Knight: I mean there were a couple of years where I had a girlfriend, so I had nice romantic evenings planned — none of which are really memorable in the grand scheme of things.

Q: What's your idea of a romantic evening?
Sterling Knight: When I lived in Texas I brought a portable DVD player in my car, and we stopped in this dirt road next to the highway and just parked the car, sat on the hood and we watched The Notebook. It was fun. It was lots of fun, kind of pitched out under the stars. There's a lot of them when you get out to the back woods of Texas.

Q: Do you have a Valentine's Day story — a funny one, a happy one?
Tiffany Thornton: I don't have a funny one, but my birthday's on Valentine's Day. Also, every time they bring out the decorations, I'm always like, “Oh, they're decorating for my birthday.” Like in the grocery store, stuff like that. But really, it's for Valentine's Day, but it makes me feel so special.

Q: Do you have a celebrity crush?
Tiffany Thonton: How many? So many good-looking guys in the industry. I think James Franco's really hot. He looks like James Dean, kind of. Yeah! He's hot.

Q: Are you a big Valentine's Day girl?
Demi Lovato: I've hated Valentine's Day, but then what I loved about it is I realized that it's about not only spending it with people that you fall in love with, which I haven't really done yet. But I spent a Valentine's Day where my whole family celebrated it together. We told each other reasons why we loved each other and things like that. That's why I love Valentine's Day. You can tell your friends why you love them. I think it's crazy because this Valentine's Day my sister gave me a Valentine with my face on it. That was a Valentine's Day first.

Q: Do you have any Valentine's stories that you'd like to share?
Brandon Mychal Smith: My Valentine's I usually just spend with my family. I'm big on family time and just hanging out with the family, maybe watching a movie. So when most people will go hang out with their boyfriend or their girlfriend, I'm with my family. So all the Valentine's stories I have are really just going out and watching fun, romantic-y type movies with the family. Or sitting around playing Monopoly at the house. Not too much goes down on Valentine’s with me. I'm kind of a family guy.

I love terling Knight, too. And I love sonny with a change also. Both things are great i was shocked too when i see taht stering is alreay 21 it was so dissapointed... :'( I hope i can meet him sometime. It will be the greatest day in my life!
