Quotes to Inspire
According to Wikipedia, “quotes are used for a variety of reasons: to illuminate the meaning or to support the arguments of the work in which it is being quoted, or to provide direct information about the work being quoted.” However, the definition I most associate with "quotes" is as means to inspire or bestow advice.
The following quotes by famous authors are just a few that I aspire to always remember:
“If you don't know where you are going, any road will get you there.”
~ Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland
“Genius is the ability to put into effect what is on your mind.”
~ F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby
“Failures are finger posts on the road to achievement.”
~ C. S. Lewis, The Chronicles of Narnia
“Anything's possible if you've got enough nerve.”
~ J. K. Rowling, Harry Potter
What quotes motivate you? Or which quotes do you enjoy hearing the most?
