Media Monday: Where did all the HEROES come from?

"Save the cheerleader, save the world!"

"Are you on the list?"

Recognize these lines? You probably do if you own a TV set!! They're from one of my favorite TV shows in the entire universe . . . Heroes. And sometimes when I get obsessed, I google everything I possibly can on the subject.

So I was surprised to discover lots of old TV shows and movies that my favorite characters used to be in before they were on Heroes.

For example, did you know that before she was a cheerleader who could save the world, Hayden Panettiere was a cheerleader in Bring it On: All or Nothing?

Milo Ventimiglia was Rocky's son in the 2006 Rocky movie, not to mention Jess on Gilmore Girls. (In fact, he used to date Alexis Bledel, also from Gilmore Girls! We all know he dates Hayden now — it looks like he has a trend of dating his co-stars . . . Hmmm . . . )

Ali Larter was in Legally Blond (the first movie) and Varsity Blues.

And Zachary Quinto, aka the creepy Sylar, once had guest stints on Lizzie McGuire and Joan of Arcadia. He'll also be Spock in the new Star Trek movie.

The list goes on and on! Are there any other celebs who are big now whom you liked in their old TV shows and movies? And more importantly to a fanatic like me, what power would you pick if you could be on Heroes?

I liked Logan Lerman in "Hoot", who is now Percy Jackson in "The Lightning Thief".
